94. Jeff Foster

Non-Duality, Allowing, and the End of Seeking

Jeff Foster graduated in Astrophysics from Cambridge University and, after a period of depression, illness, and an intense spiritual search, came to see through the seeking mechanism itself. In this conversation with Rick Archer, Jeff speaks with humor and clarity about non-duality as a total embrace of life, not a rejection of it. He explores the subtle ways spiritual identity can become another burden, how relationships expose the images we defend, and why intimacy often means letting those defenses die. Jeff also offers a simple but profound “sound bite” for the whole teaching: can this moment be deeply allowed? And if it can’t, can that be allowed too? This interview is full of practical insight into self-acceptance, honesty, and the freedom that is already present in ordinary life. Jeff’s perspective is uncompromising yet compassionate, pointing again and again to what is here before concepts, before roles, and before the story of becoming someone else. If you’ve ever felt caught in spiritual striving, this conversation may be especially helpful.
